Punchlister (www.punchlister.com)
For Quality Assurance on a construction job Punchlister is an indispensable tool. Using the Punchlister data collection on the field and generation of reports by units and/or subcontractors becomes a simple task.

Punchlisting on your jobsite is easy with the "Punchlister".
Why do you need Punchlister?
Organizations strive to eliminate redundant processes to increase their productivities. Punchlisting is a process in construction that is still inefficient due to "double data-entry".
Traditionally the developer, or the general contractor collects punchlist data on the field manually, using a notepad. Once in the office, this information is entered usually into a word processor or spreadsheet and reports are generated. Sophisticated database or spreadsheet users can then filter the information and generate reports for each subcontractor.
Using this method, the data is collected twice:
1) On the field by walking the job and collecting the data
2) In the office by copying this information into an electronic format to generate useful reports.
Punchlisting with the Punchlister reduces the data collection time on the field significantly. In the office, the re-entering of the field data to generate reports is eliminated.

You can quickly generate punchlist reports sorted by units or trades. Click on the image to view the punchlist items for the electrical subcontractor on second and third floors.
Using a ruggedized handheld computer the units are punchlisted on the field. Once the data is transferred to the punchlist server, detailed reports can be generated which can be faxed or emailed to responsible trades or the main office of the contractor.
Benefits
Use of the Punchlister will significantly increase your organization's efficiency which will translate to large cost-savings. Some of the benefits you will gain using the Punchlister are:
- Timely Completion of the Job
- Cost savings through minimal time spent punchlisting
- Cost savings in back-office since the reporting is done on the fly with no double data entry
- Accurate tracking of subcontractor line items and easy verification of completed items
- Easily archived historical punchlist data for warranty tracking purposes after certificate of occupancies

Post Occupancy Repair (POR)
Many developers or owners of residential development projects are facing the problem of tracking and dealing with the post occupancy repairs. Imagine a 200 unit development project and the complaints coming in to the office. Taking notes on paper, generating work orders for the general contractor or subcontractors is cumbersome and inefficient.
Using the POR you can take the complaints over the phone and enter it directly to the database driven system of the POR. The system generates a unique case number for every five complaints and allows the customer support representative to assign the responsible parties (i.e. general contractor, electrician) for each complaint. Once the case number is generated, worksheets for the field personnel are generated to complete the work on the field. When the same person calls again, using the homeowner's telephone number, case number or any information that he or she previously provided, the system retrieves the complaints and the status of the case and inform the customer of the status.
As the system is using a web-based interface, the POR can be accessed through your Intranet or through the Internet allowing easy access for temporary offices located on the development sites. The POR archives historical data allowing the developer or owner to analyze the data and identify reoccurring construction problems, thus addressing the problems early with the general contractor or subcontractors.
Benefits of using Post Occupancy Repair (POR)
Use of the POR will benefit your organization. Some of the benefits you will gain using the POR are:
- Accurate determination of warranty information per unit
- Generate Case numbers for complaints and track them by "Open Cases", "Closed Cases"
- Easy generation of work orders for general contractor and subcontractors
- Easy identification of typical construction problems
- Cost savings through minimal red-tape
- Higher customer satisfaction due to efficient POR process resulting in quicker repairs
